  Danielle Cunningham

  RN, MSN

  Danielle Cunningham’s experience in the hospital for the birth of her first child was a momentous event personally and professionally. It inspired her desire to pay it forward and become a nurse. Danielle specializes in neurology, pulmonology and critical care, and senior care is important to her. “The senior population is the highest population in need of health care,” said Danielle. “I want to be able to help provide the care they need.”

  Caroline Segovia

  MSN, FNP-BC, MEDSURG-BC

  Caroline Segovia’s passion for advocacy led her to the healthcare profession. “I love building a trust with my patients and seeing their health improve and them flourishing,” she says. She believes in caring for “the whole patient” and enjoys building genuine relationships. “Of course I want to know how you are physically doing, but I also want to know about your family, your pets, your interests,” she explains. She adds, “I feel that seniors are often not listened to and need someone with a caring demeanor to help them open up and feel loved and cared for." Caroline Segovia specializes in Oncology, in addition to Hematology. Caroline Segovia can be found enjoying quality time with her husband and son in her free time. She is also an animal lover and has several pets.

  Sherley Chhibber

  MD

  Dr. Sherly Chhibber says the curiosity and interest in solving puzzles that she had as a child has translated into her role as a physician. She explains, “I’m driven to uncover and address the underlying issues affecting my patients.” She upholds “a deep sense of compassion and responsibility” in her practice. She likes caring for patients holistically, aiming to improve both their physical and mental health. She explains that by providing emotional support, she helps patients “maintain their independence and health, which in turn provides better health outcomes.” She believes healthcare should be “affordable, streamlined, and coordinated.” In her free time, Dr. Chhibber loves traveling and enjoying quality time with family.

  Shari Samms

  MD

  Dr. Shari Samms always knew she wanted to serve others, and volunteering at a Muscular Dystrophy Association summer camp while in college solidified her decision to go into medicine. In her years of providing compassionate, focused care, Dr. Samms considers seniors the most rewarding patients with whom she’s worked. “I have learned the most from their challenges and the life experience and wisdom they share,” Dr. Samms says. She also loves influencing positive change when connecting with patients on their health and quality-of-life goals. In her personal time, Dr. Samms enjoys spending time with family, going to church, running, reading and eating a good meal, especially one served by her grandma in Michigan.

  Helen B. Dudley Burrell

  MSN, APRN, FNP-C

  Helen B. Dudley Burrell explains that watching her mother suffer from chronic medical conditions influenced her to pursue a career in medicine. “Coming from a poor community, I witnessed first hand what health care disparity is, and I vowed to serve the underserved sick populations,” she says. Helen believes in open communication and wants patients to know that she is “a true partner in their health care decisions.” She explains, “I will be transparent and a guiding force for patients.” She vows to treat each patient with “dignity, respect, and compassion.” In her free time, Helen loves working out, traveling, and enjoying quality time with her large family. She is also a United States Navy Reservist, honorably discharged in 2001.
